About Paviljoen Puur

Paviljoen Puur is unique in every way. The architecturally built pavilion is part of Fort Diemerdam, a place brimming with history! Literally, because a thousand bombs and shells were once stored here. Now it is a place ideally suited for business meetings as well as weddings and other celebrations. Close to the city and yet in the middle of nature.

Fort Diemerdam

Paviljoen Puur is located in the middle of the greenery at Fort Diemerdam and is part of the Defence Line of Amsterdam, a 135-kilometer defense ring around the city. Built at the end of the nineteenth century by the Department of War, the Defence Line consists of forts and batteries, dikes and sluices. UNESCO included the Stelling in the World Heritage List in 1996 for its value to humanity.

On the site of the former conductor’s house of Fort Diemerdam, Paviljoen Puur was built in 2012. The historic grounds include a restored fort watchman’s house, (ammunition) bunkers and artillery emplacements. As managing lessee, Puur Produkties likes to introduce guests to the history of the grounds. We do this in cooperation with the volunteers of Historische Kring Diemen.

Monday through Saturday, our venue is available exclusively for events. On Sundays, we are open from 12.00 to 17.00 for lunch and drinks. We are closed on Sundays in January and February.

Whether it’s a fancy lunch for a select company, walking dinner for the whole family or a lazy lunch for a casual visitor: our culinary team turns every meal into a party. We like to think along with you and because we have access to both an indoor and outdoor kitchen, nothing is impossible.
